The prickly pear cactus - also known as Nopal and Opuntia - is promoted for alleviating symptoms of diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, and hangovers. Furthermore, it has antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Tea made from Nopal helps protect nerve cells, contains antioxidants, regulates blood sugar levels, treats enlarged prostate, reduces cholesterol, and helps eliminate hangovers.
Steep for tea and combine it with other herbs. You can grind it into powder for capsules.
